Applications for Plein Air Glacier 2025
Come paint in beautiful Northwest Montana and Glacier National Park! Renowned artists from across the country travel to participate in the Hockaday’s annual Plein Air Glacier: Paint Out to paint en plein air (outdoors) in Glacier National Park, the Swan and Flathead Valleys. Following the paint out, participating artists’ paintings are included in a museum exhibition and online sale as a fundraiser for the artists and Glacier Art Museum.

Online Fundraiser Sale Details:
Free to register and preview! These all-new paintings, created during the September 8-11 Paint Out, will be added to the online sale September 16. Works will be available for sale in person FIRST at the Preview Event Saturday, September 13 from 4-7 pm. Remaining works will be for sale online at fixed prices
Tuesday, September 16th at 12:00 am through Friday, October 10, at 11:59 pm. Works sold will be available for pick up at the museum or can be shipped after Monday, October 13. Additional shipping costs may apply for works unable to be picked up.

Online Sale begins Tuesday, September 16th and continues through Friday, October 10th
Meet the Plein Air Glacier artists, enjoy drinks and refreshments, preview all the new works created for the Plein Air Glacier exhibition and auction, and purchase your favorite works at the event! All works are available for sale as a fundraiser for the museum and artists. Purchase during the reception.
*All of the artwork in the online auction sale and exhibition will be created September 8-11 during the paint out.
Plein Air Glacier Hikes! FREE!
Watch Plein Air Glacier artists painting on site! Artists will explain technique, demonstrate their process and painting style, and answer questions from hike participants.
