WE ARE OPEN DURING  SUMMER 2025 CONSTRUCTION ON 3RD STREET!

To access the museum, from 1st Avenue East, turn left onto 4th Street East, then take an immediate left turn into the alley.  Take the first right into our FREE parking lot.  Enter the museum from the south side handicap/elevator accessible entrance, or walk through the parking lot to the front of museum and enter through the main stairway entrance.  

Summer Hours: Tuesday 10:00 m – 5:00pm Wednesday through Saturday 10:00am – 4:00pm. Closed Sunday and Monday.

Offices and Museum are closed on the following holidays: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day Thanksgiving Day and Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. 

We will also be closed Saturday, July 5.

We are closed to the public December 21, 2025-January 8, 2026 for the holidays and building maintenance.

FREE General Admission for EBT Users

Glacier Art Museum is pleased to provide free admission for individuals and families using Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) cards and/or food assistance benefits (SNAP) through the Museums for All program. Initiated by the Institute of Museum and Library Services, Museums for All allows members of our community to enjoy cultural and educational institutions they may not otherwise have access to. For free admission, just show your EBT or SNAP card at the front desk, valid for up to four family members per card.

Glacier Art Museum is located in historic downtown Kalispell in a beautiful, 1903 Carnegie Library Building!

Free parking for museum visitors is located south of the building. Street parking is also available out front. 

Wheelchair/stroller accessible entrance + elevator located off 3rd St E adjacent to the Flathead County Library. 

Glacier Art Museum Photo Policy

Photography without flash is permitted in the museum.  Advanced permission must be given for the use of tripods or other professional cameras.
